Birth is s a stressful process! It's stressful not only for the mother, but for the baby as well. 90 pounds of pressure are placed on the baby's neck as it comes out the birth canal, which may easily misalign the bones in the baby's spine. How do you think you would be able to handle 90 pounds of pressure on your head and neck?? I'm guessing not to well!
These misalignments of the spine, aka "subluxations," may stress the baby's nerve system and lead to less health in general. The thing is, however, is that these misalignments may not show themselves to the parent, as only 10% of the nerve system is for pain detection. And even if a baby would be in pain, he or she cannot really communicate the situation very well to his or her parents.
If these misalignments sit silently for the baby, it may result in the following health concerns I see in my St. Paul, Lilydale, Mendota Heights, and the surrounding communities' babies and children:
So what is a parent to do?? Well, much like how you schedule "well baby" visits with a pediatrician, think about scheduling a "spinal well baby visit" with a wellness chiropractor.. That way your baby can get the best possible start in life!
